A Marshall man accused of being the suspect in a shooting incident last year in Cooper County is scheduled to appear in court this week.
According to Boonville Police, two persons were transported from the Harley Park area to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of gunshot wounds on May 15; and Derrick Anthony Young was arrested and charged the next day.
Young, who is now 31, has been charged with two counts of a Class A Felony for Assault in the First Degree; a Class A Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon; and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action. Bond remains at $500,000 cash or surety.
Young pleaded not guilty on July 22.
Young’s next hearing is scheduled to be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 9, at Cooper County Circuit Court.
