Several city, county and school officials took part in an emergency special meeting in Marshall on Sunday, March 15.
A release from Mayor Julie Schwetz says It was a helpful and informative meeting of necessary community representatives this evening…Marshall Public Schools, the Saline County Health Department, Fitzgibbon Hospital, Missouri Valley College, Police, Fire, MMU and the Saline County Emergency Management were in attendance
Schwetz says we are working together to keep the lines of communication open, comprehensive, and proactive to address the threat of Covid-19. Health officials are following proper protocols and the school made a cautious decision, one towards everyone’s goal, which is preventing the potential spread of this virus.
The Saline County Health Department says “Don’t be scared Be Prepared” and is holding regular meetings to stay on top of this. The link will inform you more about this virus and what we all can do to keep ourselves and others safe.
