In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Marshall Police Department is making some changes. Police Chief Mike Donnell says in order to cut down on the number of people coming and going through the agency, the doors will be locked around the clock.
Donnell said in the past officers would take reports face-to-face.He said the other change is intended to cut down the physical contact with people day-to-day.
He said the Police Department will respond to all emergencies and/or crimes in progress. The departments asks that the public contact the police department before coming to the building, if possible. If a victim asks to physically speak with an officer the department WILL respond to any call 24 hours a day/7 days a week. For emergencies call 9-1-1. For non-emergencies call 660-886-7411.
Chief Donnell also asks that if you or your family has self-quarantined, that you make emergency personnel aware of this when calling.
