As part of enhanced efforts to stop the spread of the COVID-19 (coronavirus), effective March 18, Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall has adopted a No Visitor policy. Providing quality patient care to our community remains the focus.
UPDATED FITZGIBBON HOSPITAL VISITOR POLICY
· Fitzgibbon Hospital will allow No Visitors, with the following exceptions:
· Patients are allowed one individual to accompany them in the following circumstances. Those individuals must pass the COVID-19 Screening in order to enter the facility.
o The policy applies to all locations
–When the patient is a minor (under the age of 18), two guardians will be allowed;
–When the patient is in labor and delivery and postpartum;
–When the patient requires assistance to move through the hospital;
–When the patient is confused or developmentally disabled;
–When the patient is undergoing conscious sedation;
–When the patient requires transportation to long-term or skilled nursing facility; or
–When the patient is at end of life (guidance on number provided by management).
–The main lobby will close at 6 p.m. each day. Weekend hours will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
In lieu of a personal visit, you are urged to utilize FaceTime, Skype or other virtual means to connect with a loved one in the hospital.
