With the increasing spread of the coronavirus, so comes the up-tick of potential scams.
During the meeting of the Marshall City Council on Monday, March 16, Mayor Julie Schwetz alerted residents about such scams.

Schwetz says be very leery of questionable e-mails.

Later, Police Chief Mike Donnell said he had just received a text message that somebody from the CDC was going around handing out test kits to everybody. He says, that’s not true.

Donnell says there are a lot of scammers trying to prey on people. He urges you to be very aware.
