With the temperatures getting warmer, and the anticipated change in natural gas usage, Spire Missouri customers will see a slight increase in their bills beginning next month.
According to the Missouri Public Service Commission, the increase reflects a change in the Weather Naturalization Adjustment Rider or WNAR which authorizes rate adjustments based on weather variations.
The rate increases generally reflect a warmer than normal period for Spire’s rate districts. A Spire West residential customer using 100 Ccf of natural gas in a given billing month will see a line item increase of $0.62 in their bill.
Spire West provides natural gas service to approximately 517,500 customers. In the KMMO listening area, Spire West serves Carroll, Henry, Howard, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis, and Saline counties.
