The City of Sedalia has issued a boil water advisory for the area from the intersection of South Grand Avenue and West 32nd Street south to the end of Grand Avenue and the Brentwood Subdivision.
A news release says the Water Division is advising residents in this area to boil water following an water-main break near the intersection on South Grand Avenue.
Water was expected to be off in this area until approximately 9 p.m. on Friday, March 20. Once water service was restored, the boil advisory will remain in place until water sample results are received late on Saturday, March 21.
It is recommended should customers observe “cloudy” water once water service is restored that they flush their water lines by operating external hydrants or flow water through their bathtubs.
Any customer in this area who notices “cloudy” water should report this to the Sedalia Water Department at (660) 826-1236.
