The city of Sedalia has lifted the boil water advisory issued on March 20, for the area of South Grand Avenue south from its intersection with West 32nd Street and the Brentwood Subdivision.
A news release says the boil water advisory was issued on Friday, March 20, after an 8-inch water main failed. The water line was repaired and water service was restored.
During this boil water advisory, the city’s Water Division performed a series of tests to determine that the water continued to meet regulatory drinking-water standards. Samples were taken from sites in the affected area and tests have confirmed that the water meets state and federal requirements. Water-quality tests have confirmed the water continues to meet all U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Safe Drinking Water Act standards and regulations. It is no longer necessary to boil your water
