As of 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has reported more than 250 positive cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the state.
According to the DHSS website, as commercial testing capacities increase, the coordination of patient and associated contact investigations is paramount to preventing and mitigating the spread of the virus. While performing public health priority activities, including notifying the patient, raising awareness among communities is valuable. The agency says it will provide data as it is available, verified and pertinent.
The total number of positive cases in the state confirmed is 255, including five deaths- one each in Boone, Jackson, St. Louis County, St. Louis City and Greene County.
In the KMMO listening area, one confirmed case of Covid-19 has been reported in Lafayette County. One confirmed case also has been reported in each Henry and Johnson County.
