During Governor Parson’s news conference on Thursday, March 26, the Governor announced there have been 502 confirmed cases in Missouri.
The question was asked of Dr. Williams, Director of Health and Senior Services, “More than 1/2 of Missouri tests have come from the private lab. Because those labs report only positive tests, the state does not have an accurate count of how many residents have been tested for the virus and what proportion of those tests were positive. Does this cause you concern on the states ability to track this outbreak? And have there been any steps to change this process?”
Williams said the state does in fact, track negatives.

Williams said there is a great deal of information on the DHSS website.

Williams encouraged everyone to continue practicing social distancing to help in preventing the spread of the virus.
