The Pettis County Health Center reports that it received its first confirmed case of Coronavirus on Thursday, March 26.
The individual and family are currently at home and self-isolating.
The Pettis County Health Center is working to identify anyone who may have come into contact with the individual. Anyone who is found to have been in contact with the person will be placed on a 14 day self-quarantine, provided instructions on how to monitor their health and will be followed by Health Center staff twice a day to check on their health. Any person who may have had direct contact who develops symptoms will be referred testing.
It is imperative that you get your information from a reputable source.
They ask everyone to continue to stay home, wash their hands frequently and use hand sanitizer, avoid crowds and check on your neighbors. If you are ill with symptoms of a fever, cough or trouble breathing, please call your health care provider. If you do not have a health care provider, please contact your local Health Department, clinic or hospital. Follow the instructions regarding how to be checked. Please do not walk into a clinic without calling.
