With the number of positive COVID-19 (Coronavirus) cases increasing on a daily basis, an area city’s officials have taken a step to try to help protect the city’s citizens.
Lexington Mayor Joe Aull said he and the city council have enacted a “Stay-At-Home” Ordinance that went into effect on Friday, March 27.
Aull says it is a “Stay-At-Home” ordinance, but it’s a little misleading, because they do encourage people to get out and exercise and do other things. He said some people have gotten out and worked in their yards, taken leisurely drives, etc. He just reminds people about maintaining social distancing.
Aull says city officials have tentatively set a date for this to expire, but things could change.
