The Missouri State Highway Patrol is searching for a man who jumped off a bridge into the Missouri River on Sunday, March 30.
According to a tweet from Troop F, at 11:41 a.m., a trooper observed what appeared to be a motorist assist on a bridge in Boonville. As the trooper pulled up to the vehicle, a man jumped over the side; briefly resurfaced and then disappeared. The man is described as being white and in his 30s, wearing a tan shirt and camo pants.
In an updated tweet just after 6 p.m., the Highway Patrol says the man’s family was notified, but his name has not been released. The search included land, air and water.
The highway patrol says if you see the man or have any information, you are urged to call 9-1-1 or *55.
