As of 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) has reported the number of positive cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the state has topped the 1,500 mark.
According to the DHSS, the total number of positive cases in the state confirmed is 1,581- up from 1,327 on Tuesday, March 31- including 18 deaths.
In the KMMO listening area, 20 cases have been confirmed in Lafayette County; four in Chariton County; two in Cooper County; and one in Pettis County.
In addition, 65 positive cases have been confirmed in Boone County; 14 in Johnson County; three in Benton County; two in Randolph County; and one in each Henry and Ray County.
There have been a total of approximately 19,430 tests conducted.
One death has been reported in each Lafayette, Boone and Henry County.
NOTE- The two cases in Saline County were confirmed after this report was filed.
DHSS expects the next update to be made at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 2.
