As of 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) has reported the number of positive cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the state is approaching 1,900.
According to the DHSS, the total number of positive cases in the state confirmed is 1,834- up from 1,581 on Wednesday, April 1- including 19 deaths.
In the KMMO listening area, 20 cases have been confirmed in Lafayette County; four in Chariton County; two in each Saline and Cooper County; and one in Pettis County.
In addition, 69 positive cases have been confirmed in Boone County; 26 in Johnson County; three in Benton County; two in Randolph County; and one in each Henry, Livingston and Ray County.
There have been a total of approximately 21,191 tests conducted.
One death has been reported in each Lafayette, Boone and Henry County.
DHSS expects the next update to be made at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 3.
