Ellis Gene Miller, age 80, of Lee’s Summit, died Monday, April 6, 2020.
Due to current restrictions on large gatherings, there will be a private graveside service at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Alma. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concorida is in charge of the arrangements.

Ellis was born on September 20, 1939, in Shackelford, MO, to the late Henry A. Miller and Pauline Louise Knopf Miller. He was a 1957 graduate of Blackburn High School. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1963 and was stationed in Germany for 18 months. On August 26, 1967, he married Beverly Ann Rolf who survives of the home. He worked for MoDOT for 40 years. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Lee’s Summit and Tieman-Blackburn American Legion Post 478.
Ellis is survived by his wife, Beverly; three sons, Jeff Miller (friend, Jenny Knight), Jason Miller (friend, Ann Kiger) and Jacob Miller (Mollie) all of Lee’s Summit; five grandchildren, Cierra, Amelia, Henry, Wyatt and Ruby; one sister, Beverly Spotts of Waverly, MO; two sisters-in-law, Janet Miller of Oak Grove, MO and Connie Miller of Concordia, MO; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ellis was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Miller and Clyde Miller.
