A 28-year-old Lexington woman suffered serious injuries in a traffic accident on Monday in Lafayette County.
According to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as Hilary Mason, who was seated on top of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler’s roll bar, lost her balance and fell out of the vehicle as it was being driven southbound by 35-year-old Kimberly Markley, of Lexington.
Mason was flown by Life Flight Eagle helicopter to Research Hospital in Kansas City for treatment. Markley was not injured.
The accident happened at 9:35 p.m. on Elm Park Road, one mile north of Coyote Lane.
