During its meeting on Monday, April 6, the Marshall City Council approved a couple of event requests.
According to City Administrator David Haugland, one involved the city’s annual fireworks celebration on Independence Day.
Haugland also said the council gave the green light to the “Return to the Roost” event to be pushed back to June 11 and 12, 2021, due to COVID-19 concerns. It originally had been scheduled for this June.
Haugland also said the council approved a resolution for intent to seek funding through the Community Development Block Grant Program.
If approved, the city’s portion of the $60,000 match will be $50,000 in cash and $10,000 of in-kind labor to be used on the project.
Haugland said the council also approved its next meeting to be held at 5:15 p.m. on Monday, April 20.
