A Marshall man has been charged with a felony for allegedly assaulting a person in Saline County.
According to a probable-cause statement, authorities were called to a residence on Napton Avenue on Sunday, April 5. Saline County Deputies were notified that Seth Elijah Sanders was suicidal and had assaulted other people. Upon arrival, a woman told authorities Sanders had assaulted her numerous times over the past three days, including punching her, choking her and kicking her. Deputies observed a knot and bruising on the side of the woman’s head; and marks on her neck were consistent with hand marks.
When authorities arrived at the scene, Sanders had taken off on foot. After a brief search, he was located in a wooded area.
Sanders has been charged with a Class D Felony for Domestic Assault in the Second Degree. Bond has been set at $15,000 cash.
Sanders’ initial arraignment was set to be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8. His next hearing is pending at Saline County Circuit Court.
