Bond has been set at six figures and felony charges have been filed against a Nelson man for alleged inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile female.
A probable-cause statement says the girl told authorities that Kenneth Dean Nease II had molested her at a residence in Nelson. The child’s mother reported during the late evening hours of Saturday, March 28, the girl complained to her that she was experiencing physical discomfort from the inappropriate sexual acts.
On March 31, the girl gave explicit details to a child-safe investigator about the incident.
During his interview with authorities, Nease confirmed he resided at the victim’s address until the date of the victim’s disclosure. Nease also confirmed that during the early morning hours of March 27, the mother had left the girl alone with him in the residence in order to take a younger sibling to the hospital.
Nease has been charged with a Class A Felony for Child Molestation in the First Degree; and an Unclassified Felony for Sodomy or Attempted Sodomy in the First Degree. Bond has been set at $250,000 cash only.
Nease was arraigned on Monday, April 6. A confined docket hearing is set for 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, at Saline County Circuit Court.
