Trash rates are going to be going up a bit in an area city.
During the meeting of the Slater City Council on Thursday, April 9, the council was asked to approve a new five-year contract with RTS Waste Services, LLC, the city’s current trash service provider. City Administrator Gene Griffith explains.

Mayor Dr. Stephen Allegri asked questions that were answered by City Attorney Doug Harris.

After batting around some other questions and ideas, the council voted to approve the contract with the increase.
