Some streets in Slater need to be updated with a chip-and-seal treatment.
At the meeting of the city council on Thursday, April 9, Mayor Dr. Stephen Allegri said the city received a bid from Vance Brothers, Inc., for 40,000 square yards of single-chip seal for $73,600- $1.84 per-unit cost, which is the same as last year.
City Administrator Gene Griffith explains.
Griffith said several of the streets he outlined have not been updated before.
Dr. Allegri asked the council for any suggestions for additional streets.
The council approved the contract.
