A Canton, Georgia, man has been charged with felonies after a traffic stop on I-70 in Saline County on Friday, April 10.
According to a probable-cause statement, authorities located a firearm. With the help of a canine, authorities also found a lengthy list of drug-related items. Authorities also located some receipts, with the suspect’s name on one of them; $3,600 in cash- all $100 bills; and a check for $500 from a pawn shop in Colorado payable to the subject.
Michael Joseph Roberts has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance; and a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon- Possession of a Weapon and a Felony Controlled Substance. Bond has been set at $20,000 cash or surety.
Roberts’ initial hearing is pending at Saline County Circuit Court.
