Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, commencement ceremonies at colleges and universities have been put on hold. However, one area university has set its plans for later this year.
The University of Central Missouri says commencement has been rescheduled for August 1. Individuals who cannot participate on August 1 can participate in the December 2020 commencement ceremony.
While UCM traditionally celebrates its spring and summer graduates in ceremonies that take place in May, the impact of COVID-19 has necessitated the postponement of this event to protect the safety and health of its graduating students and everyone involved in commencement exercises.
The UCM Commencement Committee currently is working on additional details, including a number of ceremonies and start times for each. UCM will provide these details in the near future.
