The Sweet Springs High R-7 School Board took care of some business items during its meeting on Thursday, April 16.
According to unofficial meeting minutes, the board voted to approve the per-staff-member contribution to staff insurance benefits in an amount equal to the amount necessary to fully fund the HSA 4000 Plan.
Relating to a board vacancy, Superintendent Lori Price reported the district did not receive any applications, and that the board is evaluating when to reopen the application process. She said notice will be provided when that occurs.
In other news, it was announced that three bids were received for phases two and three of the parking-lot improvement project. The lowest bid of $713,586.70 from S&A Equipment Builders, of Fulton, was approved by the board.
The board also voted to approve the certified staff and classified staff for step increases for 2020-21. The board will reevaluate when more information is known regarding state funding.
