As of 2 p.m. on Monday, April 20, the positive number of cases of COVID-19 in the state of Missouri increased to 5,807.
According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, that is up from 5,667 the day before.
There have been 56,986 tests conducted by all labs.
The number of deaths increased to 177 on Monday from 176 on Sunday.
In the KMMO listening area, 54 positive cases have been confirmed in Saline County (although county health officials now confirm 72 positives, with 13 recoveries and two patients currently hospitalized); 30 positive cases in Lafayette County (although county health officials confirm only 29 positives, 23 of whom have recovered); 13 in Pettis County (although county health officials now confirm 14 positives, with two recoveries); four in Chariton; four in Cooper County (two of whom have recovered); and two in Howard County.
In addition, 94 positive cases have been confirmed in Boone County; 50 in Johnson County; eight in Randolph County; seven in Ray County; six in Henry County; five in Linn County; three in Benton County; and two in Livingston County.
One death has been reported in each Lafayette, Boone, Henry and Linn County.
DHSS expects the next update to be made at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21.
