Three persons were injured in a rollover all-terrain vehicle accident in Lafayette County on Tuesday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as 23-year-old Merissa Wilson, of Higginsville, attempted to turn her northbound ATV left in a field, and the ATV overturned and ejected all three occupants. The ATV came to rest on one of the occupants.
Wilson and 26-year-old Sierra Norris, of Higginsville, sustained minor injuries and were transported by private vehicles; and 27-year-old Chelsea Bristow, of Ottawa, Kansas, suffered serious injuries and was flown by Life Flight helicopter to Research Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment.
The accident happened at 4:48 a.m. in a field north of 6803 Lakeside Circle.
