In Saline County the number of positive cases of COVID-19 increased by ten on Wednesday, bringing the total number of positive cases to 106. There are a total 82 active cases.
Saline County Health Department Administrator, Tara Brewer says there are 24 patients who have recovered and three patients remain hospitalized.
The Health Department continues to work on contact tracing with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) and the CDC to identify anyone who may may have come into contact with the individuals while they were infectious. Those contacts will be asked to self-quarantine for 14 days, and they will be monitored for fever, respiratory issues and other symptoms of COVID-19.

Brewer says there are cases across the entire county now. It’s more important than ever to follow all social-distancing rules. She urges citizens of Saline County to stay home, if at all possible and to take personal responsibility for themselves and their families.
