In Lafayette County the number of positive cases of COVID-19 rose slightly on Thursday, April 23, 2020.
According to the Lafayette County Health Department there are now 31 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Lafayette County. Lafayette County Health Department Director Tom Emerson reports there are 24 cases which have recovered and there have been no more deaths due to the virus since the one previously reported.
Due to data entry issues and discrepancies in the state’s computer system, the numbers of total cases reported at the state and federal level may show differently.
