The Carroll County Health Department reported the second case of COVID-19 in the county on Thursday, April 23, 2020.
According to Department Administrator, Roberta Hartwig, the case is not travel related and the patient is quarantined at home.
Health Department staff continues to work on locating and notifying anyone who may have come into close contact with the individuals and possibly exposed to the virus. Persons who may have been exposed will be given guidance and will be closely monitored for development of any symptoms.
The community is urged to continue to follow social distancing guidelines and good hygiene.
