A Marshall resident has been charged with a felony after a reported incident on Wednesday, April 22.
According to a probable-cause statement, authorities were called to Casey’s on East Eastwood Street in Marshall regarding a report of a male subject harassing customers inside the store.
Ricco Valentino Marshall was placed into handcuffs, and when officers searched him for weapons, Marshall threw his right elbow back and hit one of the officers in his right eye. Marshall also attempted to pull away several times during the arrest. Also while being booked at the police department, Marshall turned toward an officer and attempted to spit on him.
Marshall has been charged with a Class D Felony for Assault in the Third Degree- Special Victim; and two misdemeanors. Bond has been set at $10,000 cash or surety.
Marshall was arraigned on Thursday, April 23, and his next court proceeding is scheduled to be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, at Saline County Circuit Court.
