Lafayette County Health Department has confirmed one new case of COVID-19 in the county bringing the total number to 33 cases of COVID-19 in Lafayette County. The department is reporting out of this total, 25 cases have recovered. A second death from the virus has also occurred in Lafayette County.
In Pettis County, there are currently 27 positive cases of COVID-19. According to the Pettis County Health Center additional individuals have been released from quarantine today.
Residents are urged to continue following current social distancing recommendations to help protect those in their own household and in the community.
Stay home if you can. If you are working, go to work and go home. Be sure you are working at a safe distance from co-workers. If you need groceries or other household necessities, get what you need and then go home. Wear a cloth mask in crowded situations. Enjoy the outdoors on your own property and don’t invite over the entire block.
