Pettis County Presiding Commissioner David Dick issued a message to update residents on the COVID-19 situation.
Dick said Governor Mike Parson’s “Stay-At-Home” Order ends on May 3. He says there is a lot of confusion on what this means for Pettis County. He says the county is still waiting on details from the governor’s office, which are scheduled to arrive sometime this week.

Dick says with the number of cases continuing to increase in the county, this is not the time to be reckless.

Dick says county officials are not expecting that there will be no cases of the coronavirus in the county before it reopens.

According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, as of 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 27 positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Pettis County. However, DHSS does not report how many of those positive cases have recovered.
