University of Missouri Extension is offering a free webinar to anyone interested in home gardening.

This eight-part series, developed by MU Extension specialists, is aimed at helping people who want to grow healthy foods. According to Juan Cabrera-Garcia, MU Extension horticulturist, the eight part series includes an hour of instruction and 30 minutes for questions and answers.

Classes cover the basics of cool- and warm-season gardening, including container gardening, from fertility to food preservation.

Participants must sign up online and are not required to attend all eight sessions.

The first class in the series is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 5.
