A Sedalia resident has been charged with a felony for allegedly selling two birds which didn’t belong to him.
According to a probable-cause statement, a woman asked Brian Kruse to pet-sit with two macaws she had because she was going to be cleaning using chemicals unsafe for the birds on January 18. The woman said Kruse agreed to do it and would return them afterward. However, he later was identified as the man who sold the birds to a pet shop in Springfield for $1,000.
Kruse has been charged with a Class E Felony for Stealing an animal.
Kruse’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
