A Sedalia resident has been charged with a felony for allegedly physically abusing a child.
A probable-cause statement says an 8-year-old girl told authorities that James Andrew Bolar punched her in the face on April 28. The girl also said Bolar had punched her on April 27. The girl told authorities, Bolar usually used the hand with the ring on it. The girl’s mother told authorities that Bolar used to disciple in the girl, but in the last year, things have gotten even more physical with the girl.
Bolar denied all of the accusations and asked for a lawyer.
A warrant has been issued and Bolar has been charged with a Class D Felony for Abuse or Neglect of a Child- No Sexual Contact. Bond has been set at $7,500 cash or surety.
Bolar’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
