There were only three new positive cases of COVID-19 reported in Saline County on Friday, May 1.
According to Saline County Health Department Administrator, Tara Brewer, nearly all of the 211 tests conducted earlier in the week have been returned as negative.
As of Friday, the number of positive cases in Saline County is now at 195 with 106 of those cases being active and there have been 89 recoveries.
There have still been no reports of COVID-19 related deaths in Saline County.
No further information will be provided about the infected individuals by the agency.
The Health Department continues to work on contact tracing to identify anyone who may have come into contact with the individuals while they were infectious. Those contacts will be asked to self-quarantine for 14 days, and will be monitored for symptoms of the virus.
Citizens of Saline County are urged to continue practicing Social Distancing guidelines, good hygiene.
