An update from the Saline County Health Department says the total confirmed number of positive cases of COVID-19 in the county bumped up another notch on Monday, May 4. But the number of persons who have recovered from the disease also has increased.
According to Saline County Health Department Administrator Tara Brewer, as of Monday, the total number of positives inched up to 203 from 202 on Sunday.
Brewer says 100 patients have recovered, compared to 96 on Sunday. That leaves 103 active cases, compared to 106 the day before. And no deaths have been reported.
No further information will be provided about the infected individuals by the agency.
The Health Department continues to work on contact tracing to identify anyone who may have come into contact with the individuals while they were infectious. Those contacts will be asked to self-quarantine for 14 days, and will be monitored for symptoms of the virus.
