
The total number of positive cases of COVID-19 continue to rise slowly.
According to Saline County Health Department Administrator Tara Brewer, as of Thursday, May 7, the total number of positive cases of COVID-19 in the county has risen by two since Wednesday. There have been 213 positive cases of the virus reported in Saline county, with 140 of those patients recovered, there are now 73 active cases. Six patients remain hospitalized and no deaths have been reported.
Brewer notes the numbers are based on case management provided by the health department’s staff.
No further information will be provided about the infected individuals by the agency.
The Health Department continues to work on contact tracing to identify anyone who may have come into contact with the individuals while they were infectious. Those contacts will be asked to self-quarantine for 14 days, and will be monitored for symptoms of COVID-19.
