Increasing by nearly 200 more on Wednesday, May 6, the total number of cases of COVID-19 confirmed by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has surpassed 9,000 in the state.
According to DHSS, as of 2 p.m., the total number of cases is 9,102- up from 8,916 on Tuesday.
There have been 103,622 tests conducted by all labs.
The number of deaths increased to 396- up from 377 on Tuesday. However, DHSS does not report how many positive COVID-19 patients have recovered.
DHSS expects the next update to be made at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 7.
