During the meeting of the Slater City Council on Tuesday, May 5, the council was updated on some projects the city is trying to undertake.
City Administrator Gene Griffith said the first involves a proposal with Instituform.

Griffith also talked about some other projects.

In other news, Griffith said Austin Jaco submitted a proposal about moving an automotive repair shop into the old Ford building on Main Street. The council liked the idea. The city is working on an agreement that kind of spells out everything. Griffith said, “Hopefully, in the next couple of weeks, he’ll be open for business.”
