A 25-year-old Bunceton man has been charged with felonies for allegedly burglarizing a Cooper County business last year.
According to a police report, on April 22, 2019, personnel of Boonville Quick Lube reported to authorities it was broken into and had property stolen. The cash register was pried open, and money was stolen. Tools also were stolen from the garage.
The suspect was identified as Ryan Michael Beasley via the use of surveillance video. Within a few days, Beasley sold tools that were stolen during this burglary to pawn shops in Tupelo, Mississippi, and Clarksville, Tennessee.
Beasley was unable to be located nor contacted in any manner for a year. He was reported as a missing person in November 2019. He was located and talked to authorities via telephone on April 27, 2020, and he did not deny he was the subject who burglarized the business. However, Beasley refused to talk after he was told by authorities they knew he sold stolen tools to the pawn shops.
A warrant has been issued, and Beasley has been charged with Class D Felonies for Burglary in the Second Degree and Stealing of $750 or More. Bond has been set at $10,000 cash or surety.
Beasley’s initial hearing is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.
