Another area event has been called off due to COVID-19.
According to a news release, the Cooper County Fair Board has made the decision to cancel the 2020 Cooper County Fair.
The release says: “This was a difficult decision for the board as we are here to support the youth in Cooper County and promote agriculture while supporting our local 4-H and FFA Organization. The health and safety of our exhibitors and spectators is our number-one priority.”
The Fair Board says it will continue to discuss and plan for alternative opportunities for youth to safely showcase their projects and livestock this year.
The release also says: “We will be seeking input from club leaders and parents as we work to make this happen.”
