A 32-year-old Slater man has been charged with multiple felonies after a reported incident on May 6 in Saline County.
A report from a Saline County deputy says deputies were dispatched to the area of Route O and Swisher Lane in Slater. A woman reported to authorities she tried to stop Richard Nathaniel III from driving because he had been drinking. Later, the woman said Nathaniel hit her with his fists and pushed her into a ditch. She also said Nathaniel bit her on the cheek. Nathaniel resisted arrest, but was handcuffed at the scene.
Authorities say the woman had injuries consisting of a medium-sized contusion on her head and a bite mark on her right cheek.
Nathaniel has been charged with a Class D Felony for Domestic Assault in the Second Degree; Class E Felonies for Domestic Assault in the Third Degree and Resisting Arrest for a Felony; and two driving-related misdemeanors. Bond has been set at $25,000 cash only.
Nathaniel’s initial hearing is pending at Saline County Circuit Court.
