Authorities are investigating after receiving a report of a theft.
According to a report from the Marshall Police Department, on Thursday, May 7, a resident in the 1300 block of South Salt Pond Avenue, reported somebody stole something from his truck overnight.
The resident said a Ruger Model No. 03481 semiautomatic compact pistol he kept in the truck was missing.
A canvas of the neighborhood was conducted with negative results.
The firearm was entered into the M.U.L.E.S./NCIC system as stolen.
