Another Saline County city’s swimming pool will be opening for summer fun.
According to unofficial minutes from the Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen meeting on Monday, May 11, the board approved the city pool to open on Monday, June 1. The admission prices will remain the same.
In other news, the pool board received one application for the Pool Manager’s position. The Pool Board voted to hire Red Letter Management for $500 per working week, and it was approved by the Board of Aldermen.
City Clerk Michelle Fuehring reported the city received six applications for lifeguard positions. She said the Pool Board voted to hire all six applicants. The Board of Aldermen approved the hiring of Emilee Hall, Kynleigh Fuehring, Hunter Sims, Zapher Lea, Allison Trautman and Rachel Mapes for the 2020 season.
