Although the total number of positive number of cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the state was less than 100 for the second straight day, the overall total number has reached five digits.
According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, as of 2 p.m., on Tuesday, May 12, the total number of cases in the state was 10,006- up from 9,918 on Monday, May 11.
The number of deaths increased from 488 on Monday to 524 on Tuesday. However, DHSS does not report how many positive COVID-19 patients have recovered.
Approximately 124,006 tests have been conducted by all labs.
DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13.
