
Saline County Health Department reported the first death in the county related to COVID-19 and a jump in numbers by double digits.
On Thursday, May 14, 2020 Saline County Health Department Administrator, Tara Brewer reported the first COVID-19 related death in the county was a 54-year-old male.
According to the numbers based on case management provided by the department staff, the current number of confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Saline County was up by 12 on Thursday. The total positive cases sits at 241 with 181 patients recovered, leaving 60 active cases. There are six people hospitalized.
No further information will be provided about the infected individuals by the agency.
The Health Department continues to work on contact tracing to identify anyone who may have come into contact with the individuals while they were infectious. Those contacts will be asked to self-quarantine for 14 days, and will be monitored for symptoms of COVID-19.
