A Jefferson City resident has been charged with a felony after a reported incident on May 10 in Cooper County.
According to a report from the Boonville Police Department, a woman reported a vehicle theft. She said while at Casey’s General Store, Cameron Skyler Keene got out of the passenger’s seat and into the driver’s seat and drove off in her vehicle without her permission. The next day, the Jefferson City Police Department located Keene and the vehicle was recovered.
Keene has been charged with a Class D Felony for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree. Bond has been fixed at $7,5000 cash or surety.
Keene’s initial hearing is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.
