Over the weekend, the total number of positive COVID-19 cases confirmed in the state increased by more than 300.
According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, as of 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, the total number of cases in the state was 10,789- up from 10,456- on Friday, May 15.
The number of deaths increased to 594 on Sunday, up from 576 on Friday. However, DHSS does not report how many positive COVID-19 patients have recovered.
Approximately 146,255 tests were conducted by all labs as of Saturday.
DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 18.
